HIGHLY
EXPERIENCED
TEAM
We are devoted to high-quality
imaging services for our patients as
well as our referring providers. We
strive to create the best experience for
our patients.
Our doctors have been a part of
cutting-edge cancer research. They are
passionate about their commitment to
providing women with state-of-the-art
imaging services in a comfortable and
care-oriented environment. As our
patient, your exam will be read by a
breast specialist who reads
mammograms every day, not just
some of the time. We feel this is an
important distinction that separates us
from other imaging centers in the
area.
IMAGING FOR WOMEN
mammography
All screening mammography exams are done
in 3D at no additional cost to the patient. This
is our standard of care and it is a superior
exam compared to a 2D mammogram. We are
the only center in Kansas City that offers
patient-assisted compression (meaning you
control the amount of pressure placed on your
breast). Your exam will be read by a breast
specialist immediately after being performed
and you will be given results in easy-to-
understand language before you leave. Any
additional work-up needed will be offered the
same day.
bone density
Osteoporosis is a common disease in which you
lose bone mass or bone density. Patients with
osteoporosis are at an increased risk for
fractures. The DEXA scan is a safe, painless test
that takes less than 30 minutes to perform.
Unlike traditional DEXA scans that only assess
bone quantity, our scan will also assess bone
quality. This is important because you can have
normal bone quantity but poor quality and
therefore be at a higher risk for fractures.
breast biopsy
If you wish to have the biopsy performed here,
we offer both Ultrasound and Stereotactic
biopsies. Both types of biopsies use imaging to
guide the radiologist to the correct area for
sampling.
We Are In The
Business Of Helping
Others.
We offer high-quality imaging services
with state-of-the-art technology. Most
importantly, your results will be given
to you before you leave our office.
ultrasound
Ultrasound uses high-frequency sound waves
to create images. Ultrasound is a non-invasive
procedure and does not use radiation.
We offer high-quality imaging services
with state-of-the-art technology. Most
importantly, your results will be given to
you before you leave our office. We strive
to make you comfortable while waiting
for your exam in each of our cozy and
unique dressing rooms.
Your exam will be performed by one of
our highly trained technologists (many of
our staff members are breast cancer
survivors). Experience the difference that
our caring team will provide for you.
Raising the
standard of care.

Imaging for Women is a proud member of
KCMPA (Kansas City Metropolitan Physician
Association). KCMPA is one of the largest
independent physician organizations in the
Midwest. Since we are an independent
facility, you will not receive the additional
charges (facility fees, professional fees, etc.)
that hospitals add to your bill. These
additional charges can be thousands of
dollars for the exact same exam.
CONTRAST-ENHANCED MAMMOGRAPHY (CEM)
Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM)
provides exceptional clarity to find breast
cancers that may not be visible in traditional
mammography. CEM may be recommended by
our breast radiologists as a supplemental cancer
screening for elevated or high-risk patients
(lifetime risk of breast malignancy greater than
15%) or to better assess the extent of
malignancy prior to treatment. It can also be
utilized as an alternative to breast MRI that
delivers a fast, more cost-effective diagnosis.
Imaging for Women now offers
Contrast-Enhanced Mammography (CEM).
We are the only center in Kansas City to offer this
type of exam. Learn more about the procedure
